Well... That didn't take long...

Hilarious.

Though not surprising.... County administrators and commissioners have, of late, shown themselves to be corrupt and crooked buffoons. And now we have this revelation.

Medical mart's cost jumps $136 million, tax revenue estimate rises $90 million

Cleveland's new medical mart and convention center will cost $136 million more than advertised, and last year's sales tax increase to pay for the project will generate -- all of a sudden -- $90 million more than expected.

The figures released on Thursday varied wildly from original estimates because, officials now say, construction costs were not fully studied. Also lacking was a detailed review of how much the quarter-cent sales tax increase would yield. "It's fair to say that all the numbers used were guesstimates," Cuyahoga County Commissioner Tim Hagan said on Friday.

This is priceless.... One of the greater investments and developments in Cleveland's recent memory.... And it's sold (swindled) to the general public on 'guesstimates'.

What idiots... You decide whether it's the administrators or the populous.

And just for comprehensiveness... Let's just run down the dubious terms and phrases of shit spoonfed to us in the recent article.

"guesstimate".... "based on misimpression"..."draw a number out of a hat"

Damn I'm proud of my local authorities.

One quick point of note though.... This is obviously a bang-up idea because University Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic are forking over tons and tons of cheese to see that this happens.... Oh wait... Maybe I just drew that statement out of my ass.
