And we couldn't be more thrilled to learn of a curfew in the oft-avoided Public Square. And it seems to have an positive effect... If you consider curbing rape, robbery, assault, and blacks as a good thing.

Whatever happened to the curfew to ban people from loitering on Public Square at night?
It's working so far.
The law, which prohibits people from loitering on Public Square from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., went into effect in July 2007.

Of course... Not everyone is happy.... Just the people with jobs, homes, and money.

But not everyone is thrilled about the new law.
Brian Davis, executive director of the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless, said that the law has targeted the homeless.
"Now you see very few homeless people in Public Square," he said. "You shouldn't have a curfew in the heart of the city."

Where shall we begin. It seems reasonable to target the homeless... provided they are a menace. Which they undoubtedly are... We cannot count the number of times we have been accosted for a 'dollar' or a 'condom'... Immediately refused their advance... And then were treated with a series of f-bombs, loogies, and projections of poisonous oral vapor.

As we leave these encounters... we are often leaving more perplexed than angry... A condom? really?

And who doesn't want their city's finest collection of hobo's at the heart of the city? I thought that's what Strongsville was for.
